Question:  Do we have to be members of a synagogue in order to send our child(ren) to JEWEL Schools?
Answer: No, you can be a member of any synagogue you want and still send your child to JEWEL.

Question:  Is your school affiliated with any denomination?
Answer: No, our school is not affiliated with any denomination of Judaism.

Question:  How is it possible to run a Hebrew/Religious school without identifying with a denomination?
Answer:  The
building blocks of Jewish education are Torah, Hebrew, Israel, Jewish Culture and the celebration of Jewish holidays - all of which are original since the beginning of Judaism and therefore are not part of any affiliation or branch of Judaism.

Question:  Do we need to practice Judaism in any specific way in order to send our son/daughter to JEWEL?
Answer:  No, the way in which your family practices Judaism is not a criteria of sending your child to JEWEL.

Question: Do we have to live locally in order to send our son/daughter to JEWEL School?
Answer:  No, Jews from all over the area send their children to our school.

Question:  Where does the funding for JEWEL come from?
Answer:  Our school is supported solely by the tuition and fees of the families.

Question:  Why is your school different from other schools?
Answer:  Our goal at JEWEL is to create an atmosphere of joy and fun at Sunday School, and each week to send every child home with a positive Jewish experience.

QuestionIf my child goes to JEWEL, can we attend community functions at the Jewish Family Center?
Answer:  Any Jew and/or Jewish family is welcome to attend functions at the Jewish Family Center regardless of synagogue affiliation or JEWEL membership.
