members of a synagogue in order to send our child(ren) to JEWEL Schools?
Answer: No, you can be a member of
any synagogue you want and still send your child to JEWEL.

Is your school affiliated with any denomination?
Answer: No, our school is not
affiliated with any denomination of Judaism.
Question:
How is it possible to run a Hebrew/Religious school without identifying
with a denomination?
Answer: The building blocks of Jewish education
are Torah,
Hebrew, Israel, Jewish Culture and the celebration of Jewish holidays -
all of which are original since
the beginning of Judaism and therefore are not part of any affiliation
or branch of Judaism.
Question:
Do we need to practice Judaism in any specific way in order to send our
son/daughter to JEWEL?
Answer:
No, the way in which your family practices Judaism is not a criteria of
sending your child to JEWEL.
Question:
Do we have to live locally in order to send our son/daughter to JEWEL
School?
Answer: No, Jews from all over
the area send their children to our school.
Question:
Where does the funding for JEWEL come from?
Answer: Our school is
supported solely by the tuition and fees of the families.
Question:
Why is your school different from other schools?
Answer: Our goal at JEWEL is
to create an atmosphere of joy and fun at Sunday School, and each week
to send every child home with a positive Jewish experience.
Question: If my child goes to JEWEL, can we
attend community functions at the Jewish Family Center?
Answer:
Any Jew and/or Jewish family is welcome to attend functions at the
Jewish Family Center regardless of synagogue affiliation or JEWEL
membership.
