JEWEL HEBREW SCHOOL
Our
Goal
JEWEL understands that the time we
invest identifying ourselves as Jews is precious. Our goal is to make
the time in our school your key to this connection with Jewish
identity.
We offer programs to children in grades K through 7 that are relevant,
fun, and promote a better connection to Jewish life through
education. We try to use teaching methods that are active and
lessons that are appropriate for children today.
Our Staff
The
focus of JEWEL is to instill Jewish
values through excitement, warmth and caring. We have an experienced
and exceptionally warm and devoted staff who not only represent those
values they are trying to teach
but have a talent for transmitting them to their students in a fun and
meaningful way. Our teachers are
able to relate very well with their students and create a very vibrant
relationship.
The Choice Is
YOURS
JEWEL
believes families should be free to join
the
synagogue of their choice without having that decision dictate their
children’s education. That is why the JEWEL School System is NOT
affiliated with any Synagogue. We charge no membership or building-fund
dues, and there will never be any additional fees except for tuition or
field trips. JEWEL provides a Bar/Bat Mitzvah program and a meaningful
service for families who do not have an affiliation with another
Synagogue.
Family
Support
Throughout
the school year, a number of
adult-education classes will be offered for parents when they drop off
their kids on Sunday. We hope to encourage meaningful commitment
that is
centered in the home. In signing up for school, parents are encouraged
to attend these classes. This will allow each parent to become an
active
partner in their child's growth. We also provide learning
opportunities for parents in smaller home groups so that the learning
is truly a family experience.
